Performance Coated Cylinder Heads & Valve Gear
Again we are looking for managed heat control and reduced friction through the use of performance coatings.
The picture below shows a fully coated Renault R5 Turbo cylinder head assembly. The combustion chambers and valve faces are coated with the same ceramic material as the piston crowns to give a fully insulated and reflective combustion chamber. This increases the rate of combustion allowing the engine tuner to modify parameters such as ignition timing, turbo boost and (on 2-strokes) air/fuel mixture ratios. By re-optimizing these a power gain of 5% is normal on naturally aspirated engines..

Suitable for nitrous and high boost turbo applications as well as naturally aspirated engines.
